From Houston to
St. Mary’s via 290
Take highway 290 West to I-35. Exit I-35 South to San Antonio. Exit
15th Street and follow the frontage road to 10th Street. Turn right
(West) onto 10th Street. St. Mary’s will be on the left, at the corner
of Brazos and 10th Street.
From Houston to St.
Mary’s via I-10
Take I-10 West to highway 71 West (exit 695 in Columbus,
Texas.) When you reach
Austin, take I-35
north exit. Follow I-35 north and exit #234C, 6th –12th Streets. Cross
under I-35 at 12th Street, and turn left onto the I-35 South frontage
road. Turn right (West) onto 10th Street. St. Mary’s will be on the
left, at the corner of Brazos and 10th Street.
From St, Mary’s
Cathedral to the Reception
Take 10th Street one block West to Congress Avenue. Turn left (South)
onto Congress. After four blocks, turn right (West) onto 6th Street.
Follow 6th street for about 1.5 miles until the Loop 1/MOPAC overpass.
Make a left-hand turn at the light just after the overpass onto Loop 1
South and drive south for about 8.7 miles to La Crosse Avenue.
Along the way, you will drive over Town Lake river, pass the exits for
Loop 360/Capital of Texas Hwy and 290/71/Ben White Blvd, and go through
lights at William Cannon and Slaughter Lane.
Note: after the William Cannon light, Loop 1 will fork – stay in one of
the two left lanes. (The other two lanes U-turn under Loop 1.)
At La
Crosse Avenue, make a left turn (East) onto La Crosse Avenue and
continue through the light, crossing Loop 1. The Wildflower Center will
be about 0.4 miles on your right. Follow the signs to the wedding guest
parking.
